Excel Academy Student Highlight

Excel Academy student, Cloi Crider, is a 16 year old aspiring musician in South Orange County and the lead singer for the band No Pun Intended. She performs all over the county and enjoys writing her own music as well as performing covers. She studies voice and guitar under the tutorship of Excel Academy Vendor, Sky Green, and is enrolled in weekly classes at Independent Learning Academy in Aliso Viejo, California. Board Approved TK Policy – posted 5/3/16

Transitional Kindergarten (TK): Students must turn 5 between September 2-December 2. Kindergarten age-eligible students are allowed to choose TK if their 5th birthday is between June 1st-September 1st; however, they must sign the Kindergarten Continuance Form verifying that the parent/guardian agrees to have his/her child continue in kindergarten for one additional year. Students may not promote from TK to 1st grade.

For students with their 5th birthday after December 2, they must enter TK on or after their 5th birthday. They must sign the Kinder Continuance Form.  If a student turns 5 after December 2nd, entering kindergarten is not an option, they must enroll in TK.

Kindergarten: Students must turn 5 on or before September 1

Morgan Hill Notice

The California Department of Education (“CDE”) has requested that schools throughout the State post and notify the following link to CDE’s website to provide parents notice of the disclosure of student records pursuant to a Court Order issued in a lawsuit filed by the Morgan Hill Concerned Parents Association and the Concerned Parent Association against the CDE. (Case No. 2:11-cv-3471-KJM-AC).  The CDE website provides a Notice for your review and an Objection Form should you wish to object to the disclosure of your child’s personally identifiable information. All objection forms must be submitted to the court no later than April 1, 2016.
